Our Story

The four of us, Glen & Linda, Randy & Loree, started as friends 35 years ago, bonding over music as we led worship together at our church.  Three and a half decades later, with nine children and 19 grandchildren between us, we are still friends.  And now we are business partners who want to share our great skill of home maintenance with those who need us.

Randy Raine

Owner / Operator

Randy loved his childhood growing up in India with his missionary parents.   After returning to Canada alone at age 16, he began learning how to fix things by working on prairie farms.  His 35 years in IT services and 36 years as a homeowner developed his problem solving/fix-it skills to the superhero level.

He is happiest on his Kawasaki 1400, zipping along the broad sweeping curves of the Duffy Lake loop.  One of these days you might see him drive up in his restored ’54 aquamarine blue Chevy pickup, all geared up to use his skills to improve your home.

Loree Raine

Owner / Admin

While Loree started out her adult life staying close to home, homeschooling five children, she has spread her wings and now is a world traveller.  She loves drinking strong coffee in distant foreign countries, either on vacation with Randy or teaching overseas, training teachers how to teach English.  When she is at home, she loves gardening and spending time with their five beautiful and brilliant grandchildren.

Loree loved to play Lego, not to creatively build, but to sort the pieces into sizes and colors.  She still loves to organize and keeps things moving along smoothly in the R & R office.

Glen Rau

Contractor

Growing up on a farm in Alberta, Glen learned to fix and repair pretty much everything!  His love of cars drove him into auto body work for 18 years.  But when he needed  a change, he bought Complete Concrete Cutting and helped homeowners and small businesses with their renovations and improvements.  Next stop was trucking, long haul and short haul.  But since he missed fixing and repairing things, becoming a handyman was the perfect choice.  Helping people with those aggravating little problems around the house is right up his alley.

Not surprisingly, Glen and his wife Linda love driving vacations that  take them along the beautiful west coast .
